Our Bereavement Ministry provides support services for people who have lost a loved one.  

Our services include:

• A Monthly Bereavement Group - If you have had a loss and would like to share in a safe, confidential environment, come to our Bereavement Group. We start out with introductions, a brief prayer and reflection on loss and then have time to share about our loved one. We end with a candle lighting service. If you would like to attend, please contact Amy Walsh-Malamood.
• A sympathy card is sent to the family after the death of their loved one.
• A bereavement call is made to the family to see how they are doing and to see if they need any further assistance.
• Our deceased are remembered in a special way at the 11:00 AM Liturgy on one Sunday during the month of November.

Eileen Shirey and Marge Addeo are two deeply caring individuals who spend their time helping others through what is often a uniquely difficult time. "Uniting with others who have suffered painful loss is an uplifting and enriching part of my life," Marge said of her ministry.

Both long-time parishioners, Eileen and Marge also enjoy being part of the St. Vincent's community in other ways. Marge enjoys sharing Mass and other church activities with her grandchildren, while Eileen is a choir member who enjoyed joining the local Pride Parade with the St. Vincent's group last spring.

We thank both Eileen and Marge for their important ministry, and invite anyone who is grieving or has experienced a recent loss to join us for our monthly bereavement group. You are not alone, and there are many community members who will walk with your on your journey. Just as Jesus needed help and support on his final walk to Calvary, all of us may find that we need help to carry our burdens.
