THE FANTASTICKS Music by Harvey Schmidt Lyrics by Tom Jones Book by Tom Jones Based on Les Romanesques by Edmond Rostand
The world’s longest-running musical hits the Mac-Haydn stage this Fall. The Fantasticks, after running Off-Broadway for 42 years, has become a beloved, timeless classic – telling a tale of a young couple navigating the dichotomies of love.
In this musical allegory, two young lovers, Matt and Louisa, find their budding relationship tested time and time again by their meddling fathers, the challenges of distance, and the unexpected highs and lows of companionship. Through both the magical moonlight and harsh sunlight, the audience is invited to visualize and engage in this relatable, breathtaking plot.
Get ready to hear a romantically charming score, including songs “Try to Remember,” “Soon It’s Gonna Rain,” “Much More,” and “They Were You.” The Fantasticks guarantees a captivating, touching close to the theatre's 2024 Season.
