Volunteers will gather on Saturday, May 7 from 11AM to 2PM at the Rensselaer Riverfront and Creekside Parks. Come for all or part of the time, or whatever your schedule allows. There is ample parking available. The driving directions to the Park are; take Route 787 to the Dunn Memorial Bridge Exit for Routes 9 & 20 East/ Broadway & the Rensselaer Train Station. At the bottom of the ramp, turn right onto Broadway and thenrightinto the Parking area for ‘Riverfront Park’ (just before the intersection with Huyck Square). We will observe social distancing for individual groups and ask people to wear masks. We ask Sweep volunteers to wear sturdy shoes or boots, gloves, clothing that can get dirty and to bring a reusable water bottle. In addition, it would be most helpful if you would bring a ‘grabber’, kitchen tongs or other ‘tools’ to assist in the retrieval of trash along the riverside. This clean-up is suitable for children, with proper adult supervision. Questions?
