Appropriately, we begin our Lenten "Faith on Film" series with a pilgrimage, a physical journey that is also deeply spiritual on Saturday, March 8 at 2PM in St. Vincent’s parish hall with The Way (2010).
A father who had a strained relationship with his idealistic son travels to Europe to bring home the son's cremated remains following his sudden accidental death. The father's exposure to those who have traveled the Camino of Santiago de Compostela convinces him that he should complete it for his son, and in the process he finds his life and that of those he meets on his adventure transformed and redeemed.
Directed by Emilio Estevez, The Way is 123 minutes and is rated PG-13.
All Faith on Film showing are in the Parish Hall and are free. Food pantry donations are encouraged; bring your own snacks and cushions.
