Bill McKibben, an environmental activist and the founder of Third Act – a community of Americans over sixty years of age determined to change the world for the better – writes about his 1960s childhood and wonders what went wrong. His book focuses upon three symbols central to his life – the Flag, the Cross and the Station Wagon – and identifies how efforts to promote justice, equality and a clean earth have gone sideways in his lifetime.
The discussion will begin on Wednesday, October 23rd at 7PM via Zoom and will last for four weeks. The second week will discuss Chapter 2 – The Flag.
A Study Guide has been prepared, which you can access by clicking here. Copies of the book are available for purchase at the Book House in Stuyvesant Plaza. If you have any questions or comments, please contact Dave Rowell at [email protected] or 518-729-4550.
