We have recently seen the growth of antisemitism and Islamophobia as a by-product of the Israel-Hamas war. On Sunday, February 25th at 9:45AM in Meeting Room 1, Audrey Seidman and three other women of the Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom (SOSS) will speak about their organization’s mission to promote peace and justice and to build interfaith relationships among Jewish and Muslim women - critical tasks in this charged environment.
SOSS was initially formed in 2010. The Capitol Region has two chapters with a third being formed. Women of the two faiths meet regularly to talk, show up at peace rallies and celebrate holidays with each other. The national organization offers online programs, including educational workshops and cultural events.
