We invite you to join Rabbi Hanan Schlesinger, a Zionist settler, and Noor A'wad, a Palestinian activist, as they share their personal, interconnected stories and present the groundbreaking and challenging grassroots work of Roots/Shorashim/Judur. They do not come with blueprinted peace plans in hand, but with the deep conviction that human understanding and trust are the prerequisites for lasting justice, freedom, and peace in that little sliver of land they both call home.
The presentation will be offered twice: the first opportunity is at St. Vincent's on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 7:30pm, and the second is on Thursday, Feb. 29 at 10am at Westminster Presbyterian Church (85 Chestnut Street, Albany NY 12210, via the State Street entrance.)
For those attending the event at St. Vincent's, please know that we have overflow parking available behind our Parish Center at 984 Madison Ave; this will be accessible via our parking lot if you drive through our lot and turn right onto Yates St, then cross Partridge St into the Saint Rose parking lots. Drive through Centennial Lot, through the open gate, and you are in the correct lot for our use. Alternatively, use the parking lot entrance at the traffic light on the Saint Rose campus, and turn right.
