A Place of
Courageous Hospitality
Hospitality
We are proud to be one of 13 teams who work with Family Promise of the Capital Region to provide support of families facing homelessness, providing temporary lodging, wraparound services, and the guidance they need to build a brighter future. Four times a year, our team of dedicated volunteers makes it possible for these families to stay in our Parish Center, sharing home-cooked meals and the fellowship and warmth of community.
St. Vincent de Paul provides overnight accommodations and some meals to homeless Family Promise guest families four times a year for a week each visit. We utilize the Parish Center at 984 Madison Avenue to accommodate our guests, the same building used for religious education and our parish food pantry. During host weeks, two volunteers are needed for each shift, each day, as described below. Volunteers select their shifts and sign up in advance.
